ONLINE FITNESS & FLEXIBILITY SESSIONS:

In addition to training on various suspended apparatus, Aerial Fitness sessions include Mat Pilates, Core training, and Flexibility training.

My teaching style is mainly inspired by the Danish ballet studio of Nini Theilade and the Joffrey Ballet New York combined with the method of Joseph Pilates as first taught to me by Kelly Kane of Kane Pilates – later Bob Leikins, mixed with many aerial coaches from 5 different countries, a couple of lovely gymnastic and rhythmic gymnastic coaches, as well as every person I have had the pleasure of working with over the course of my career.  I believe every session should have a warm up at the beginning, cover a variety of choreography that challenges the entire body and mind, and a good stretch at the end.  I like to challenge people to do new things that are sometimes uncomfortable and I also like students/clients to repeat things over and over to the point of total confidence and ownership.  Most importantly I like to inspire new students to love movement and to seek out their own wellness journey in the years to come.

Machine Pilates, Kettlebell, TRX and Pre/Post-natal Certified.  Taught Aerial Fitness at Barnard College for five years.  All Levels Welcome.
